Harbour Inlet Sparkles at the Annual Holiday Party

The annual Harbour Inlet Association holiday party held at St. Sebastian’s Church hall courtyard on Friday December 7th, was attended by over 60 residents – children, adults, Santa Claus, and our City Commissioner Ben Sorensen.

The highlight of the evening for the young attendees was the arrival of a very jolly Santa who spent lots of time entertaining the children and distributing trinkets.

The traditional competition for home holiday lighting was held and Vice Mayor Ben Sorensen acted as judge.  This year’s Finalists for best decorations were 1917 Harborview Drive and 1900 Marietta Drive with the best house award going to 1934 Admirals Way.     Admirals Way also received the best block award for decorated homes on both sides of Barbara Drive.

The Fort Lauderdale Police department donated two Ring doorbell systems to be raffled off.  Two lucky Harbour Inlet homeowners will have these installed soon.  Thanks to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department for this generous gift and donation to our neighborhood security.

Food and conversation were plentiful and neighbors enjoyed an evening of socializing.  Many thanks to the Harbour Inlet social committee for their efforts planning, communicating about and management of the party and to all.  A fun evening was had by all and everyone is looking forward to next year’s holiday event.

Gatehouse Decorations Light up Harbour Inlet’s Entrance

We hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday decorations at the entrance gatehouse.  Many thanks to the volunteers who helped decorate the area:  Martha Hall, Bob Linder, Prabhuling Patel and Jennifer Sharpe.  Also many thanks to Luke’s Landscaping for our beautiful new annuals at the front of the gatehouse in lovely holiday colors.
