BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES The meeting was held at the home of Pat Kelley. Pat called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. Attending were Pat and Glenda Kelley, Genia Ellis, Mellissa Donoho, John Mauro, Kathleen Ginestra, Ellie Hurst, Bill James and Cheryl Abernethy. Guest - Mae Simmons Treasurers report: Dick Ellis paid the annual State Registration on behalf of the civic association; he reported the bank balance of $17.721.09. The escrow account for traffic calming installation is $5,900.00 (+ $15,500.00 CVC Points), for traffic calming maintenance is $2,100.00 and a city grant for program maintenance is $250.00. The total members in the association are 134. Kathleen made a motion to accept and Pat seconded; the motion was approved. Meeting Minutes: Pat made a motion to accept the last meeting minutes Dick seconded and the motion was approved. Sand by-pass: An update was provided by Genia Ellis. The sand by-pass has been delayed for 18 months. The Ft. Lauderdale council prefers that we continue with the approved beach renourishment plan for Galt Ocean Mile southward. Newsletter statues: The new newsletter Sea Breeze has arrived. Contact information: George at GM Strategic Media; www.gmstategic.com; 954-828-1337. The dates for information will be FIRM. Any articles should be submitted by June 20 to Genia Ellis ONLY. Neighborhood Events: Harbour Point: Dick Walters will be holding an open house/cocktail party for the neighborhood. An article in Sea Breeze will announce the details. Annual work day on right of ways: A neighborhood work day is scheduled for Saturday June 13. Everyone is encouraged to take part. NCIP Grant Project for 2009-20010 (joint venture): We will commit to speed humps contingent on participation and approval of all three neighborhoods. This will be addressed later. Police Report: There were 2 incidents reported in March and April. Pier 66 and Bahia Mar: Both would like to come to a board meeting to update the status of their renovations. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:30 pm. The next meeting will be June 10, 2009 at 7:00 pm and the home of Pat Kelley.
