INUTES The meeting was held at the home of Pat Kelley. Pat called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. Attending were Pat and Glenda Kelley, Dick and Genia Ellis, Jennifer Yevoli, Mae Simmons, Freeman Good, Melissa Donoho and Cheryl Abernethy. Treasurers report: Dick Ellis sent a report with the bank balance ending August 9, 2008 of $14,966.67. The total members in the association is now 136. Freeman made a motion to accept and Genia seconded; the motion was approved. Meeting minutes: Freeman made a motion to accept the last meeting minutes, Genia seconded the motion; the motion was approved. Tree report: Jennifer is continuing to speak to home owners on Barbara Drive regarding the acceptance of free trees from the city. Genia will be meeting with Gene Dempsey this week for further update. Twin Dolphin Lane sprinkler repair and sodding has been completed. Parking: Another letter was sent to the apartments by the gate house and the situation is gradually improving. Lag O Mar: Genia reported that the bridge on South Ocean Drive will not support large constructions trucks. The reconstruction project has been approved but will be subject to restrictions on type and weight of trucks bringing in materials. Pier 66: Pier 66 wants to go higher than previous plans and will take the request to the city Commission for possible changes. Old Business: NCIP Grant: Jennifer and Chris Relyea have signed off for traffic calming devices near their homes, subject to approval by the City Planning Department. Genia brought up the possibility of additional funding needs for the gate house arms. Melissa made a motion to add additional funding from the Harbor Inlet treasury if needed, Glenda seconded and the motion was approved. Block party: Jennifer, Glenda and Dick are working on the block party on Marietta Drive scheduled for September 27. Board members, at the suggestion of Mae, will call all of the homeowners the week prior to the party rather than delivering fliers. Live Nation Event: Harbour Inlet Association supported this event and the Commission approved to move forward on the planning. Police Issues: Two break-ins were reported since the last meeting. Park Property: A contract was signed by the owner for $995,000. It remains to be seen whether the money will be approved for a passive park on the South Ocean Drive property. Meetings: The semi-annual meeting will be October 8 at St. Sebastian Church and has been confirmed. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:00 pm.
